Structural and Dynamic Analysis of Wimbledon-Centre-Court moving roof

Geodome Ltd had provided Finite Element analysis services of truss-work support system for facilitating movement of the Wimbledon Centre-Court folding roof system. In particular, conceptual and detailed studies of the proposed bogey system and their connection to the trusses were examined in detail with 'Cosmos' and 'Robot' Finite Element programs. Further in-sight was gained by use of a structural scaled model, operated by remote control, which was manufactured by Geodome.
